The Fancy Fish painting was created by first developing the “ground” or background with layers of acrylic color and pattern. The second stage of the painting was to find shapes in the ground, in this case the goldfish, and reveal them using negative shape painting. The final stage was stenciling the layer of bubbles to put the fish back under the water. Fancy goldfish or koi are kept for their beauty and for good luck.
Creating portals of light, love, joy, beauty, compassion, hope and gratitude is my lifelong passion and gift for the earth, hence the name of my art business, For the Earth. As a result of these loving influences, I am a lifelong student of both mediums.
