The Coyote Moon image was painted with a bright, full intensity color acrylic palette. This vivid, exciting image of the coyote singing to the huge moon over the desert evening landscape was such a fun painting to make. This painting is using contemporary colors to increase the vividness of the scene.
Coyote is an amazing adaptive animal, known by Native Americans as creator and teacher and keeper of magic and, sometimes, trickster, for its hidden wisdom. Coyote loves to play and have fun. They are reminders to not become too serious. Coyote teaches the relationship between wisdom and folly and the possibilities of the wise fool and reminds us that true teachers of wisdom have a sense of humor. Coyote has a close-knit family unit and works cooperatively in hunting. They are known for their keen intelligence and adaptability.

About Jeanette French
Creating portals of light, love, joy, beauty, compassion, hope and gratitude is my lifelong passion and purpose. My mother painted when i was young and encouraged drawing and painting and handcrafting in all forms and my father, the photographer, gave me my first camera at age 8. As a result, i have been a lifelong student of both mediums. Formal training of my eye and technique has been with the wonderful Pacific NW painter teachers, Stan Capon and Edi Olson. i hope you will enjoy these images as much as i enjoyed their creation.
